It looks as if Samsung is looking continue last years tradition of releasing variously sized devices and hoping one will stick. While the Galaxy Tab 10.1 2 has just hit brick and mortar stores this month, Samsung is already looking to introduce a new line of slates. In a leaked internal document, it’s revealed that the South Korean’s newest tablet will be called Espresso 10 and Espresso 7. Of course those numbers allude to their sizes (10.1 inch for the former and 7 inch for the latter) but major details are still kept in the dark.
In the leaked document, which is actually a list for compatible Samsung device shipping with their Smart TV, list the two device as “Espresso”. The document also reveals the 10.1 inch to hit the market this June, while it’s smaller sibling is yet to be determined. Both will ship with Android 4.0 code named Ice Cream Sandwich . Other than sizes and release date not much else is clear as to what type of hardware it will ship with. For now any processor is up for grabs and can range from the Tegra 3 to Samsung’s own Exynox processor. As much as we would love to speculate on what Samsung plans on doing with the “Espresso” we’ll take this with a grain of salt.
