FTChinesePad app for android, a tablet app, uses FT newspaper layout with FTChinese content, including news and analysis and interactive features. In addition, the application provides users with unique markets data and gives readers the ability to search through FTChinese.com archives. It takes advantage of the android's excellent interface, making charts and tables clear and easy to navigate as users use portrait modes. Users can also choose to read some reports in Chinese or English and to publish their own comments on stories. Then front page articles are automatically cached in the device’s memory so that users can continue reading content even if they are offline .

I gave one star because of the insightful content, while the poorly built app contributes to the missing four stars. The FTChinese for tablet is completely incomparable to the Financial Times app on Nexus 7. UI shows half screen in vertical mode. The back button does not work at all in any mode. The side menu appears only in landscape mode. And it is completely useless because it does not respond to any click. These three frustrating features lead to the app's unreadability. Please fix the problems.
