Do not waste your money

I purchased this app hoping for greatness instead I have an app that doesn't bring up the primary manual among others. Asked for refund haven't heard a word says 100% money back garantee Where's my refund.

I really like where this app is going but it still need work

I like the approach of the app but it still has crash problems. I am running a Toshiba thrive 4.0 and every time I try to add/view notes it crashes. The scrolling was responsive so some bugs have been fixed. Everything except for notes was working. I got a refund because if I cannot add, view notes the it is of no use to me.

Too expensive, not enough development happening

I paid $15 for this app after installing a custom rom, version 4.0.3, and it was working just fine, all was good. I then upgraded my rom to version 4.0.4, which the app is not compatible with. I tried 2 different roms of this version and the app was incompatible with both. An inquiry to the developer yielded the following response: "We don't support custom roms." I suppose I can understand that, but I would think that a $15 app would be developed a little more actively to be compatible with the most recent versions of Android. It's sad, because I really like this app because of the features it has. However, I would suggest going with the other app in this price range in light of the lack of development from this one. Update: I just updated to jellybean recently and found that the app compatibility is back. However upon trying to access the My Library feature found that my online account had been deleted along with all my content. I recreated my account and began to search for the items I had in my library before, only to find that all content is gone from the entire website. I'm upset. I paid good money for this crap.

Frustrating

Can't do notes... the program just shuts down.. I email support and never hear from the company. It worked great with my Ipad but with my ASUS tablet I can not get it to work at all...

Great app

I love this app it is the best one out there. Great customer service from the developer too. And I did not mind having to purchase the tablet app for my nexus 7.:-)

Two panes, for tab: wow,

Very handy to have two things open. Application: have a hymn ready and waiting, or a study guide, while the scriptures are in tbe other pane.

Keeps having to reload

(Gripe) I don't approve of the marketing scheme of having both mobile and tablet versions, both on Android and iOS, when both OSs are designed to unify the app experience with little effort. Especially when it's so expensive. (Con) If I put my tablet to sleep it will try to load the page when I turn the screen back on (it also does this if you leave the app). A lot of the time it will then reload the page and then send it to very top so you have to scroll back down to find where you were (Happens a lot with PMG). There needs to be a built in PDF reader so you can do split pages with that if you like, and so you don't have to make your device load a different app for the sole purpose of viewing a song. (Pro) I will, however, say that this is the most feature packed version of any scripture reader out there. (Would like to see) It also becomes a chore to backup my data every time I am do using one app so I can update another device. There needs to be a way to make a setting to auto download/upload the modified data every time you open/close the app and to be able to have at least one backup per device in case one isn't up to date and to prevent overwriting newer data with older data

Good, but needs to be better

This needs to be updated to fix some of the performance issues I've been experiencing since I've had the app. Scrolling is choppy at best, and the app doesn't seem to make proper use of the Fragments API in Android 3.x and up (if the Fragments API is even being used). I also can't highlight only part of a verse if I want to, and the links to the footnotes don't work for me. The iOS version of this app doesn't seem to have these same problems, so this app needs to be updated to provide a unified experience across both Android and iOS. This app has potential, but all it takes is properly using the Android API, at least using the Fragments API for what it's intended to be.

Made for tablets

I have paid for several versions of scriptures. This is BY FAR The best for he tablets, it truly is made to use all the space one your screen. The tabs and UI are easy to use and I feel like can study just as well with my Galaxy Tab 10 as I can with my paper scriptures. There have been several updates and the developer is dedicated to their program. Overall very very happy with this one, you won't be disappointed.

A Step Above (Asus Transformer Prime ICS)

Pros: (1) Love those Tabs (2) Online content syncing with tablet is FAB (3) Option for either One or Two reading panes each with multiple Tabs is GREAT (4) Ability to load your personal epub books and then open them into the program Cons: (1) Not able to Cut, Copy or Paste from online content (2) Can't Highlight online content or add notes (3) Scrolling not quite as smooth as it should be (4) Navigation... still getting used to it... not as intuitive as I would like Bottom Line: This IS a GREAT program and is totally worth getting... I am confident they will get things worked out... You must check out the online content... there is some good stuff there

Finally a scriptures app for tablets

This is a great way to study the scriptures on a tablet! The app really takes full advantage of the extra screen real estate It is snappy and easy to use. Keep up the good work! Thanks!

Potential for perfection (Dell streak 7)

This app is amazing! It functions perfectly and all the features I fell in love with in the phone version are here in the tablet version. My only concern was when I have a scripture open along with the chapter tab, I get major scroll lag in both columns. This seems like something that would be quite easy to fix and I hope my concern is addressed. Other than that I love it! great app!

I love this app

The dual pane view is absolutely genius. I love the menu tabs down the side. The app is a bit buggy but I am sure future updates will address this. The app is still completely functional and very handy for study. You should support these guys and get this app. It's worth the investment.
